Today in freezing Colorado I saw a flock of robins in my yard. What's up with that? Don't they hibernate or visit bird relatives in warm sunny places this time of year? Maybe after we climb out of our deep freeze temperatures, spring might have a chance; meanwhile those snow-loving robins served as a glimpse of better things to come. I need that right now. Kinda in a funk and not sure why. Could have something to do with a stomach ache/nausea situation that is in its third week of cramping my style (pun intended.) I did go get a marvellous massage (thanks Mom and Dad Schloss for the Christmas gift) yesterday to de-stress, cleanse, and maybe improve the tummy trouble. Two out of three objectives accomplished but my stomach is at it again today, drats!
Anyhow, I wanted to share a few pictures of the fun SuperBowl party we had at our house. Josh invited a few friends and we included Mike and the kiddos for what ended up as 21 people snacking, watching, cheering, and talking while enjoying the football game. Most of us loyal Bronco fans were rallying behind the Packers so we were happy with the final score and entertained with commercials that seemed better than the past few years.

The next day was Christina's 20th birthday! We went out to eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant and then had cake and presents afterwards. Christina came home while I was attempting to decorate her cake and proceeded to decorate me. She got some new boots, jeans, and cold, hard cash. She's a teenager no more!

Cake decorating - not in my skill set.
Luckily Christina helped with the swirls. |
